Meet your coach:
Hi, I’m Elyse
I’m a speech-language pathologist, child development specialist, homeschool mom, and Christian mother who knows exactly what it’s like to want to homeschool but feel terrified you’re not qualified.
When I decided to homeschool both of my children, it wasn’t because I had it all figured out. It was because I realized the traditional school system wasn’t going to work for my family’s emotional needs, learning needs, and values.
But the questions kept swirling: How do I know what to teach? What if I miss something important? What if I’m not enough?
Here’s what I realized: the same tools I used professionally to write IEPs, assess development, and create educational plans—combined with what I learned navigating my own advocacy journey— helped me and could help other families build their homeschool with confidence and peace.

- My Background:
- 13 years as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)
- Certified Wellness Coach
- Trained in Orofacial Myofunctional Disorders
- Trained in typical child development and developmental milestones
- Specialized in pediatric development, feeding therapy, and airway health
- Expert in parent advocacy, IEP navigation, and natural/low-toxin approaches
- Most importantly: A mom who’s been in the trenches and knows what it takes to fight for your child
Here’s how I can help: My professional training taught me how to assess where children are developmentally, identify what they need next, and create measurable goals. My personal experience taught me how to trust my instincts, create plans that work in real life, and build homeschools that honor family values and bring peace.
Together, these skills allow me to help you understand what to prioritize FIRST so you’re not paralyzed by trying to do everything at once. You can have a professional-level foundation AND the peace that comes from knowing you have the tools you need.
A Note About What’s Realistic in 60 Minutes:
In our first session, we’ll create your FOUNDATION—the essential starting point you need to begin with confidence. If you want to develop a complete, comprehensive year-long home education plan, that typically requires ongoing coaching. Many families start with the foundation session and continue with monthly or quarterly check-ins for ongoing support.
You don’t have to figure it out alone. You don’t have to be afraid you’re not qualified. You just need to know where to START. And I can help you with that.
Frequently Asked Questions

How do I know this will work for me?
This session is designed for mothers who are stuck in analysis paralysis—you know you want to start or do more homeschooling, but don’t know where to start. If that’s you, this will give you the clarity and actionable next steps you’ve been desperate for. We’ll look at YOUR child’s specific needs, YOUR family’s capacity, and YOUR available resources to create a plan that actually works for you.
How is this different from other homeschool coaching?
Most homeschool coaches focus on curriculum recommendations and scheduling. I bring my training as a speech-language pathologist and my experience writing IEPs to help you identify your child’s priority needs and create a clear starting point.
In 60 minutes, we’ll focus on where your child is right now, what they need to work on FIRST, and which curriculum/approach makes sense to begin with. This isn’t just advice—it’s a strategic foundation you can build on.
What if I need more support after the two weeks of follow up support?
That’s completely normal! Many families start with the foundation session to break through analysis paralysis and get started, then continue with ongoing coaching (monthly or quarterly) as they implement, expand their plan, and navigate challenges. Think of this first session as opening the door—ongoing coaching helps you walk through it with confidence over the long term.
What exactly will I get in one 60-minute session?
This session is designed to break through your worry and give you a clear starting point. We’ll identify your child’s priority needs (not everything—just what matters most to focus on first), create initial goals to work toward, determine essential accommodations to start implementing, and I’ll recommend curriculum that matches where your child is right now.
You’ll walk away knowing your next steps. Think of this as your foundation—the clarity you need to BEGIN.
My child doesn’t have a special needs. Is this still for me?
Absolutely! You don’t need an existing IEP to benefit from this approach. Whether your child has a formal diagnosis, suspected learning differences, or you just want a structured, developmentally-appropriate starting point for homeschool, this session will give you clarity on where to begin. My training in child development means I can help you understand where your child is and what to focus on first—regardless of whether they’ve ever been evaluated.
My child has an IEP at school. Can you help me transition that to homeschool?
Yes! In our session, we’ll look at your child’s current IEP and identify which goals and accommodations to prioritize as your starting point for home education. I’ll help you understand what services you’ll need to continue privately and what your first steps should be. For complete IEP translation and full implementation planning, ongoing coaching is typically needed, but you’ll have clarity on where to start.

Mama, you don’t need to be afraid anymore.
You don’t need a teaching degree. You don’t need to be an expert in every subject. You don’t need to replicate a classroom in your home.
You just need to know WHERE TO START.
A real starting point. A professional-level foundation. A plan that’s based on your child’s actual developmental needs—not what everyone else is doing.
And I can help you create one.
In 60 minutes, you’ll go from “I’m terrified I’m not qualified” to “I know exactly what my child needs FIRST and how I’m going to provide it.”
You’ll have priority goals. Clear accommodations. A realistic timeline. And the confidence that comes from knowing you have a professional foundation—not just good intentions.
This is your starting point. Your foundation. Everything else can be built from here.
